# Website Blog Pages

Welcome to the guide on Blog Pages. This page type allows you to easily share updates, tutorials, and insights directly on your website with Lagom WHMCS Website Builder (opens new window). It provides a simple way to publish and organize articles, add images, and optimize content for search engines. With built-in categories and tags, you can keep your content structured while giving visitors a clear and engaging resource to learn more about your products and industry. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to make the most out of these features.

# Blog Article List

  1. Name - Name of the created Blog Article.
  2. URL - Link under which created Blog Article will be available to your visitors. You can click on link to open preview of specific page.
  3. Category - Categories assigned to the created article. You can click on a category name to open its management page.
  4. Creation Date - Date when the article was created.
  5. Status - Publication status of each article, this column display following statuses:
    • Published - Page with "Published" status will be visible for customer, under selected URL.
    • Disabled - Page with "Disabled" status will be only visible for administrators, who are logged in to the WHMCS admin area. These pages will not be included in the sitemap.
  6. Indexing - Display Search Engine Indexing status:
    • Green Circle - Search Engine Indexing is allowed.
    • Gray Circle - Search Engine Indexing is disallowed.
  7. Manage - Navigate to the management page of specific Blog Article.
  8. Add New - Create a new Blog Article.
  9. Search - Enter the article name to find one that you are looking for.
  10. Category Filter - Filter the Blog Article list by one or more categories. Select the categories you want to display, then click Apply to update the list. Use Clear to remove the selected categories and show all Blog Articles again.

# Article Management

The article management page allows you to create and configure your blog articles. Within this page, you can define all key settings and content details that shape the appearance and presentation of each article.

# Page Title

  1. Page Name - Set name of created article page. This name is used in <title> tag, when "SEO Title" is not provided.
  2. Permalink - Define url of created website page. When page is created for the first time, permalink is automatically generated from the page name. However you are able to modify this when needed.

The Article Details section defines the key elements of your blog article, such as the title and description, ensuring that visitors can clearly understand the topic of your post before reading it in full.

# Article Title

Define the main title of your blog article. These details are displayed both within the article page itself and in the Blog List and Blog List Condensed sections.

Provide a short and engaging summary of your article. This description is displayed in the Blog List and Blog List Condensed sections. It helps readers quickly understand the topic and encourages them to explore the full content.

# Article Properties

This group of settings allows you to configure key details of your blog article before publishing it for your customers. Within this section, you can define elements such as the assigned author, article category, and thumbnail image. Each of these options is described in more detail below.

# Featured Article

Enable this option to mark the article as featured, allowing it to be highlighted prominently above other articles within the Blog Section on your website.

# Author

Assign an author to your Blog Article to let your customers know who prepred this article. Information about author is displayed at top of article page, as well as in the Blog List and Blog List Condensed sections.

# Category

Assign a category to your article by selecting it from the list of available categories in your system. Categories allow customers to filter and browse blog articles by topic. They are displayed within the article itself, as well as in the Blog List and Blog List Condensed sections, enabling customers to easily search for articles within each category. In order to create blog categories please refer to later part of this documentation here.

# Publish Date

Decide when your article should be published. By default this option is assigned to date when blog article is being created however, once pressed you can change date by selecting it from displayed calendar. If future date will be selected then your artcile will be published on this day.

# Thumbnail

Assign a thumbnail image to your article. Thumbnails are displayed in the Blog List and Blog List Condensed sections.

# Show Thumbnail in article

Once a thumbnail image is assigned, the Show Thumbnail in Article option becomes available. This allows you to choose whether the thumbnail should also be displayed within the article content itself.

# Blog Article Content

Within this section, you can build and customize the content of your blog article by adding sections Lagom WHMCS Website Builder sections, that are dedicated to this page type. To proceed with creation of Blog Article content press Add New Section then modal with available sections will be dispalyed allowing you to implement desired sections into your article.

# Dedicated Blog Article Section

In the Add New Section modal, you will find a unique Blog Article section available exclusively for this page type. It is specifically designed to help you build and structure the main content of individual blog articles. This section ensures that your posts are presented in a clean, engaging, and visually consistent way.

The Blog Article section serves as the core content area of your blog post. It includes Text Editor that allows you to add and format text, insert images, and even include custom HTML code. This flexibility gives you full control over how your article content is displayed and allows you to create visually appealing, well-structured posts.

You can also adjust the appearance of this section to match your preferences by selecting desired style within Article Content Settings.

# Other Sections Available for Blog Article Pages

Unlike other page categories, the Blog Article page category provides a unique set of sections designed specifically for presenting blog content. It introduces the new "Blog Article" section, which allows you to add and format text for your articles.

In addition, you can include the following sections to enhance the appearance of your blog posts, improve user engagement, and maximize conversion rates:

# Blog Categories

  1. Order - Order in which categories are dispalyed for your customers accorss your website. First categories in table will be displayed always first to your customers. You can drag each category to assign its order.
  2. Name - Category name displayed to your customers. You can click on a category name to open its management page.
  3. Assigned Articles - Amount of articles to which specifc category is assigned to.
  4. Status - Publication status of selected categories, this column display following statuses:
    • Active - Category with "Active" status will be visible for customer for selection.
    • Disabled - Page with "Disabled" status will be only visible for administrators, who are logged in to the WHMCS admin area.
  5. Manage - Navigate to management page of specific category.
  6. Add New - Create new predefined category.

# Category Management

When you press Add New Category, a modal with configuration settings will appear, allowing you to create a category according to your needs. The following options are available:

# Choose Language To Edit

When you click this option, a dropdown list of default languages from WHMCS system will appear, allowing you to select the language you want to edit. If no separate content is defined for a non-default language, the category settings for that language will automatically reflect the same content as the default language in your WHMCS system.

# Category Name

Assign a name to the category. The category name will be displayed to your customers and can be assigned to articles, used to help them find articles grouped under that category.

# Category Status

Choose whether the category should be active or inactive. Inactive categories will not appear in the category list and will not be available to your customers.

# Category Order

Set the display order of the category. This determines both how categories are arranged in the category list and the order in which they are presented to customers on your website.

# Set a Redirect When Clicking on Category

Enable this option to assign a link to category names displayed to your customers within the Blog List and Blog List Condensed sections. This setting allows you to direct customers to dedicated pages related to each category, helping them better explore your content. While also, making your website easier for search engines to crawl and understand the relationships between your articles and categories. This can help increase the visibility of both your category and article pages in search results.

# Blog Authors

  1. Author Name - List of Authors reflects list of administrator users in your WHMCS Admin Area. You can assign avatar to each user. Read more.
  2. Assigned Articles - Amount of articles assigned to this author.
  3. Manage - Navigate to management page of specific author.

# Authors Management

When you access the management settings for a specific author, a modal will be displayed, allowing you to configure the author’s details according to your needs. The following new options are available:

# Author Name

This value is automatically taken from the WHMCS system. To modify it, update the administrator’s name in your WHMCS Administrator Configuration page.

# Asigned Articles

Displays a list of all blog articles assigned to this author, allowing you to quickly access and manage each article. By selecting an article from the list, you will be redirected to its management page, where you can edit its content, settings, or publication details.

# Blog Article Settings

This tab provides configuration options that apply globally across all your blog articles on your website, allowing you to control the overall article display and funcionality settings.

# Button "Back to Article List"

This option adds a "Back to Article List" button at the top of each blog article, helping visitors easily return to your main blog or another page of your choice. It improves navigation and keeps users engaged by allowing them to browse more of your content without losing their place.

You can choose where this button redirects your customers by selecting one of these options from dropdown.:

  1. WHMCS Page – Select one of your existing WHMCS pages from a predefined list. The correct URL will be applied automatically based on your selection.
  2. Custom Link – Define any custom URL, including pages located outside your WHMCS environment, for full flexibility in navigation.

Enable this option to display a “Read Next Articles” section at the bottom of each article. This section automatically suggests other related articles, encouraging customers to continue exploring your blog and stay engaged with your content.

Suggested articles can display two groups of articles:

# All Articles Sorted by Creation Date

When selected, your customers will see suggestions pulled from all published articles, regardless of their assigned category. Articles are displayed in order of creation date, starting with the most recent.

# From The Same Category As The Opened Article

When this option is selected, your customers will only see article suggestions from the same category as the article they are currently viewing. Suggestions are sorted by creation date, from newest to oldest.

# Sharing Articles

Enable this option to allow your customers to easily share your articles through popular social media and communication platforms. This helps increase your content’s reach and visibility across multiple channels.

Available sharing options include:

  • Facebook
  • Messenger
  • X (formerly Twitter)
  • LinkedIn
  • WhatsApp
  • Reddit
  • Pinterest
  • Email

The order in which you select the channels determines the order in which the sharing options will appear below each article.
