# Section Promotion Manager

The "Promotion Manager" (see demo) (opens new window) section integrates our Lagom Promotion Manager (opens new window) extension with the Lagom Website Builder. This section allows you to display sliders on your website by selecting specific slides or all slides created in the Promotion Manager extension.

Sliders are a powerful tool for enhancing user experience (UX) as they allow you to present information dynamically and attractively, drawing attention to promotions or key products without overwhelming the page. The animation and visual appeal of sliders help engage users, improve content discoverability, and encourage interaction. With this section, you can effectively promote various products on selected pages, showcasing them in a visually compelling and user-friendly way.

Important: This section cannot be activated without the Lagom Promotion Manager installed in your WHMCS system.

# Prepare Slide

Before configuring this section, ensure that your "Promotion Manager" slides are properly set up to display correctly in this section type. It is required to enable the "Homepage" option in the Promotion Manager extension and complete all necessary fields, as these fields are used in the section's sliders.

  1. Create New Slide (opens new window) - Follow the documentation to create a new slide in the Promotion Manager extension.
  2. Activate "Homepage" Display (opens new window) - Ensure the "Homepage" display option is activated. This step is essential for the section to function properly.
  3. Fill "Homepage" Content (opens new window) - Complete the required fields for the "Homepage" as specified in the Promotion Manager documentation.
  4. Publish Slide (opens new window) - Verify that the slide is published. Unpublished slides will not appear in the section.

# Promotion Slides

Once a slide is correctly prepared in the Promotion Manager extension, you can use it on your Website Builder pages by assigning the slides to this section type. Follow the instructions below to get started.

# Slides

This is where you manage your promotional banners pulled from the Promotion Manager extension. Follow the interface description below to learn how to easily add and manage slides in this section.

  1. Slides - Displays a list of promotion slides added to this section
  2. Edit - The "Edit" button opens a modal where you can personalize already added "Slides" to the list.
  3. Remove - Remove "Slide" from the list.
  4. Add New - Add new "Slide" item to the list.

# Add/Manage Slide

When the "Select Slides" modal appears, you will be prompted to choose from promotions available in the Promotion Manager extension. Remember, only promotions marked as "Published" will appear here.

You can add promotions to this section in two ways:

  1. Promotion Slides - Select the promotion slides to be displayed in this section. You can choose to display all promotion slides or only specific ones.
  2. All Published Promotion Slides – Automatically adds all visible, published promotions, saving time on manual selection. However, this method does not offer additional customization.
  3. Specific Promotion Slide – Manually select individual promotions from the list. This option opens a modal with more detailed fields, allowing you to preview the promotion and quickly navigate to the Promotion Manager extension for further edits.

# Slide Details

Slide details are automatically synced from the Promotion Manager extension and cannot be directly managed here. This fields works as a preview so you can see what content are set for specific Promotion Slide, however to manage its content you need to go to the Lagom promotion Manager, and modify specific field for this slide.

# Slide Title

Pulled from the "Promotion Title" field in the Promotion Manager extension. To edit, click the "Edit" button next to the field label, so configuration page of this "Promotion Slide" will be opened in new browser tab.

# Start Date

Displays the date and time when the promotion will begin, if this setting is configured in Promotion Manager. To edit, click the "Edit" button next to the field label.

Please note that this setting will not take effect automatically because the CMS has a built-in cache that does not refresh on its own. You will need to manually clear the "Section Cache" to apply the changes to your section.

# End Date

Displays the date and time when the promotion will end, if this setting is configured in Promotion Manager. To edit, click the "Edit" button next to the field label.

# Section Advanced Settings

  1. Combine This Section With Section Below - When activated it will remove bottom padding and border from this section. This setting was designed to combine two sections into single section - learn more.
  2. Overlay Section Below on This Section - This setting pull below section over this section, moreover it adds additional bottom padding - learn more.
  3. Apply promotion code to all section products - This option allows you to assign promotional codes to all products in the "Products" section simultaneously. For detailed instructions on how to use this feature, please refer to the Common Settings. It is important to familiarize yourself with these settings, as promotional codes can overlap, affecting how discounts are applied across different products.
  4. Product Custom Class - Allows you to assign custom class to all product packages added to this section.
  5. Section Anchor - Allows to set name for the section anchor, which then could be used, to link people to specific section - learn more.
